BRUNEL ANNIVERSARY LIMITED

The 200th anniversary of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and his associations with Bristol were celebrated over the weekend of 8th / 9th March 2006 with a special train each day using ex-GWR 4-6-0 ‘King Edward I’, organised by Kingfisher Tours.

KE0603 : Saturday’s trip was a return run from Bristol to Shrewsbury via Hereford, and is here seen leaving Maindee Jn. (Newport) and climbing towards Caerleon alongside the River Usk.

KE0604 : Sunday’s trip ran outwards via Gloucester to Worcester, then returned via Hereford. The train is seen shortly after leaving Bristol climbing Filton Bank.
