SETTLE – CARLISLE LINE

A number of trips have run over the S&C in the first half of the year. This run was southbound from Carlisle with 4-6-2 6233 ‘Duchess of Sutherland’ on Saturday 9th July.

DS1 : 6233 approaches Appleby at Keld.

DS2 : 6233 on the climb to Ais Gill summit crossing Waitby Common on the approach to Kirkby Stephen.

DS3 : 6233 crossing Whalley Viaduct between Clitheroe and Blackburn at the start of the climb to Wilpshire.
